Decorating Dublin

4 years ago, Ireland was a very different place. Seeing as we were up to our tits in new money, there was two ways that the country could go. We could become a wealthy left wing country like Denmark, which to this day has a very proud record of being pretty right on and as cool as fuck. Or we could peddle our arseholes to Debenhams and Starbucks and become the Irish branch of the United Kingdom.

I think you know which choice the majority of the dickheads who live here have taken. They’re even knocking down part of the GPO to make way for another UK shopping centre..

But try to remember that once upon a time, there was a movement for good:

I have to admit to making a few of these and doing a bit of nocturnal hometown decoration in my time..

There was also an article on the worrying trend of middle class cunts traching their kids to play stupid instruments instead of guitars and drums like we used to, a piece on a catholic youth group protesting against US troops in Shannon, some disparaging remarks about the Meteor Awards, and a wonderfully balanced view on the rebel city of Cork.

See? STILL topical. Everyone STILL hates Cork.
